COO Graduates from WCMS
Santa Cruz Community Credit Union is pleased to announce that its Chief Operations Officer (COO), Everardo Munoz, recently graduated from the three-year Western CUNA Management School (WCMS) program.
The 61st Commencement Exercises for the Upsilon Class of 2023 were held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, in Bridges Hall of Music in Ontario, California.
“I am so honored to have participated in this intensive program. It prepares credit union employees, like me, to take the next step along our leadership journey, stated an enthusiastic Munoz. “The program was challenging and provided me with a thorough understanding of all the elements I’ll face as a leader in the credit union industry.”
Munoz has served members at SCCCU for over 12 years, beginning his career as a member service representative and rising through the ranks to become the COO. “Everardo is a shining star among the team at SCCCU,” stated Beth Carr, President/CEO at SCCCU. “He lives and breathes the credit union’s mission daily and makes decisions and recommendations that are in the best interest of our members. I am incredibly proud and honored to have someone of his caliber leading operations at the credit union.”
Munoz graduated from Monterey County High School and then went on to obtain an MBA from CSU Monterey Bay. As a new WCMS graduate, he is now officially a Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE), an important designation within the credit union industry.
For more than 60 years, WCMS has helped credit union management staff meet the challenges of the future. WCMS is the West Coast-based leadership and philosophical institution for current and future credit union leaders, preparing individuals with the depth and breadth they need to contribute to their credit union’s success, the credit union movement, and their personal career goals.
