SCCCU Wins Big at MAC
We're thrilled to announce that we were recently honored with three awards at the 2023 Marketing Association of Credit Unions Annual Conference in Nashville, TN. In 2022, SCCCU celebrated its 45th Anniversary and won a gold award in the Image Enhancement/Public Relations category for its year-long promotion. Additionally, SCCCU won a silver award in the Comprehensive Campaign category for its Visa Rewards Platinum promotion and a bronze award for its newly designed SCCCU website.
“We’re honored to be recognized by the Marketing Association of Credit Unions for our community outreach and product awareness marketing efforts,” said Beth Carr, CEO/President. We are dedicated to helping our members understand and access the many benefits of using the Credit Union for their financial needs. We are both delighted and humbled to be recognized for our creativity in delivering the credit union difference messaging.”
The Marketing Association of Credit Unions (MAC) is a national organization developed by credit union marketers specifically for credit union marketers. It is the only national association of its kind that is run 100% by a volunteer board of directors. The MAC Awards have celebrated successful marketing within credit unions nationwide since 1986. Award distinctions are based on objectives, target audience, overall strategy, competitive factors, and return on investment.
SCCCU has been serving Santa Cruz County for over 45 years, and our mission of providing economic justice is just important today as it was in 1977. As a small “niche” financial institution, SCCCU is one of the earliest in California to receive CDFI and Juntos Avanzamos designations. Additionally, it was the first in Santa Cruz County to accept and welcome ITIN borrowers. SCCCU’s goal is to continue providing the tools and resources necessary for all to receive affordable financial services in the communities it serves.
